Hailing from the Twin Cities, Minnesota, Malia Eugene is a lifelong musician. She began piano lessons in early childhood, was a three-time winner of the Minnesota Music Teacher Association (MMTA) piano competition, and earned consecutive perfect scores at the Minnesota National Federation Competition. She played violin throughout middle school and high school, and was first chair viola with the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphony (GTCYS). In 2018, Malia began studying voice under Sandra Partridge and was a soprano for the Minnesota All-State Lutheran Choir. She discovered her love for opera and theatre, her most recent roles including Stage Manager in Our Town and Morticia in The Addams Family musical. As of May 2024, Malia has earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville.
