Sara is a choreographer, teacher, and dancer residing in Beloit, Wisconsin. She graduated with her BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance and Choreography through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2020. During her time at UWM, she worked and collaborated with faculty including Simone Ferro and Daniel Burkholder, and guest artist, Melanie George. She was also awarded the Support for Undergraduate Research Fellowship grant for research within performative improvisational dance under Daniel Burkholder.
Her professional career took off amidst her sophomore year of college. Sara was a company member of Water Street Dance Milwaukee from 2019 to 2022. She performed company repertoire and independent work at shows and arts festivals in Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Columbus, and Los Angeles. Sara trained with Geometry Dance Company 2 under the direction of Mackenzie Martin based in Los Angeles from 2022 to 2023.
Outside of her own training, Sara has been a dance instructor teaching recreational and competitive dancers throughout the Midwest. She is currently continuing her studies in physical therapy and hopes to enhance her teachings with the knowledge she gains through the program.
