Brian Jaap is a multi-faceted clarinetist, teacher, and arts administrator based in Madison, WI. He has a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from Concordia College, as well as an Orff-Schulwerk Teacher certification from Vandercook College of Music.

As an arts administrator, he has worked as a Project Assistant for UW–Madison’s Division of the Arts Arts Residency Programs, and he regularly performs with ensembles in the greater Madison area including Driftless Reeds, Madison Chamber Players, the Madison New Music Ensemble, and the Madison Gamer Symphony Orchestra.

As a teacher, Brian has taught in public schools and private settings across the country, serving on faculty at Como Park Elementary School, Shell Lake Arts Center and now, Stoughton Center for the Arts! Brian believes in student-centered, collaborative teaching, and his number one priority is that his students leave feeling seen, supported, and excited about music in their lives.
