Megan began her dance studies at Monona Academy of Dance and later at Academie de la danse with Marlene Turbin Weldon. In 2016, she graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan where she studied with Cameron Basden, Wendy Masterson, Joseph Morrissey, and Justin Koertgen. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. During her time at UW-Madison she was featured in repertory by Jin-Wen Yu and Liz Sexe. Throughout her high school and undergraduate studies, Megan has had the opportunity to work with guest artists such as: Megan Williams (Mark Morris), Carol Teitelbaum (Merce Cunningham Dance Company), Virginia Garcia and Damián Muñoz (la intrusa), and Sidra Bell (Sidra Bell Dance New York).
Megan has also worked as a choreographer, having three works featured in annual adjudicated student concerts at UW-Madison and two works commissioned. Through a scholarship awarded during undergrad studies (Buff Brennan Senior Honors Award), Megan developed an evening-length work, Bittersweet.
Megan has also had the opportunities to attend workshops such as the Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Intensive, the New Dialect Intensive with Banning Bouldin, a GagaPeople Workshop in New York City with former and current Batsheva Dance Company members, and the b12 Contemporary Dance Festival in Berlin, Germany.
Megan enjoys working with all ages in dance, learning from other artists, and continuing to grow as a dance educator and dancer.
