DANCE
We offer a variety of disciplines in all levels for all ages in group classes, private lessons, as well as duets, trios, and quads.
Ballet
Built upon a specific set of body positions and movements, ballet is elegant and graceful.
Tap
A percussive dance style using tap shoes to create rhythms and sounds coordinated with movement.
Jazz
Jazz is a lively, energetic dance style with influences from Africa, it has evolved into many different styles.
Lyrical
A very emotional dance style often building upon the lyrics of music and a balanced combination of ballet & jazz.
Pointe
Using special shoes, pointe is an advanced form of ballet for older dancers.
Modern & Contemporary
These styles of dance emphasize expression and creativity over rigid technique using abstract movements.
Musical Theatre
Rooted in the history of Broadway musicals, this style focuses on acting and musical interpretation while dancing.
Hip Hop
A vibrant and influential style that incorporates fast and rhythmic movements to popular music of the same name.

Tuition is charged in nine equal payments the first of each month, September through May. There is a $25 registration fee due with fall registration.
Classes are 45 minutes in length one time per week. Tuition is $89/month (nine equal payments as stated above). This amount includes class tuition as well as a Showcase costume and tights.
If you have multiple children in group classes at SCA there will be a 5% discount automatically added to your account. (Not applicable for private lessons.).
If you have one student that takes multiple classes there will be a 10% discount on 2 or more classes automatically added to your account.

Showcase
Students are invited to perform ‘onstage’ towards the end of our season (April). A dance will be prepared during class time and they will perform it in our theatre during a Showcase Performance. This brings their training full circle by giving them a performance opportunity and offers their friends and family an opportunity to enjoy their talents.
Costumes are ordered for purchase for each dance class.
What do we need?
Students should have the appropriate shoes for the discipline they are taking. Dance shoes are not to be worn outside, likewise street shoes are not allowed in studios. Students should wear leotard and tights. In disciplines except ballet, booty shorts or leggings may be worn. All dancewear should be tight fitting and snug so the instructor may see alignment.
