Drama classes teaching characterization, audition techniques, improv, staging, movement for the actor, direction and more.

Creative Dramatics

Students will explore basic movement to be incorporated into drama technique, learn basic characterization, and primer acting skills and tools.

Drama I

Students will continue to explore basic drama technique, build upon acting skills, and characterization.  Stage technique, theatre movement, staging, and enunciation, speech & dialect will be introduced.

Drama II

Building beyond skills and techniques learned in Drama I, students will explore beyond basic drama techniques and acting skills.  Additional theatre elements are introduced.

Drama III

Students continue to expand upon techniques and skills learned to an intermediate/advanced level.  More theatre elements are introduced including audition technique, advanced characterization, and more.

TUITION

Tuition is charged in nine equal payments the first of each month, September through May. There is a $25 registration fee due with fall registration.

Drama classes are 90 minutes one time per week. Tuition is $178/month (nine equal payments as stated above).

Showcase

Drama students will prepare a production in their class and then perform it on stage with costumes, props, and set pieces as appropriate (all at Director’s discretion). This experience helps to bring their training full circle by offering them a performance and gives their friends and family an opportunity to enjoy their talents.

What do we need?

Students should wear loose fitting clothing that is comfortable to move in. Students should have black pants and a white shirt for a costume “base” for Showcase.
