Volunteer Position Descriptions & Duties

Front of House: Prior to the show & Intermission: Ticket Sales, Flower Sales, Usher
During the show: Side Door Monitor, Back Door Monitors, Audience Management
After the Show: Flower Sales, Auditorium Clean Up

Runner/Line Up:  Liaison between Stage Managers, Faculty, and Dressing Room volunteers.  Assist Dressing Room volunteers & Faculty with performers, making sure they are lined up and prepared for their performance.

Dressing Rooms:  Monitor performers in Dressing rooms.  Keep noise to a minimum.  Keep food, candy, drinks, or gum out of dressing rooms.  Assist in lining up dancers for their performance.

Hall Monitor:  Remain in side hallway at all times.  Monitor performers, keeping noise to a whisper.  Ensure males do not enter dressing rooms.  Ensure parents do not enter backstage areas.  Assist Runner/Line Up, Faculty, and Stage Managers as needed.

Load In/Out:  Beginning at SCA, collect and load what is needed to go to the SHS PAC.  Assist in unloading vehicles and setting up for Showcases (setting costumes, props, scenery, rolling out Marley dance flooring, etc).  After last show on Sunday, pack up all items and load vehicles, taking everything back to SCA.  Larger vehicles are helpful for this task.

  • PPL members are required to volunteer for our Showcase as per their contract signed at registration. (Adult volunteers only please. Parents or guardians and/or family members may volunteer to complete the requirement for performers under 18.)
  • Please select all shows that you are available to volunteer
  • From your choices above, please list 1st, 2nd, and 3rd preference. Please let us know your preferences as to what show(s) you would like to work. Volunteers will be assigned on an as needed basis. We will take your preferences into consideration as much as possible but you may not receive the assignment you requested.
