Katelyn Curtin
Music Department

Katelyn is an Actor, Singer, and Dancer from McFarland, WI. She has been teaching and directing since high school, and she has loved her time teaching at SCA, one of the places she learned so much from as a young person. Katelyn graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BFA in Acting and a minor in directing. Katelyn has performed with The Lyric Theater of Oklahoma, Children’s Theater of Madison, Music Theater of Madison, and even performed opera across Madrid while in College. While at OCU she studied voice under Eric Frei and Doctor Courtney Crouse. Katelyn has trained in opera, jazz, musical theater, and pop styles and tries to give students a taste of everything while teaching. Katelyn’s teaching philosophy is: voice lessons are life lessons and life lessons are voice lessons. Much of what we learn about music applies to our everyday life.

Katelyn teaches and directs for many companies around the area including, Verona Area Community Theater, Ballet U, Children’s Theater of Madison, Oregon Middle School, and Queen of Peace Middle School! While not making theater and music you can find Katelyn with her fiancé Brett and their dog Huk, taking many long walks and adventures together.
